Duval Schools Close
Nearly 12 hours after coming ashore south of Fort Myers, Tropical Storm Fay's sustained winds have actually increased to 65 mph.
At 5 p.m., Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia are placed under a hurricane watch as the latest track calls for Fay to strengthen over the Atlantic Ocean and return as a Category 1 hurricane.
A tornado watch was just issued for Flagler, Putnam and St. Johns counties. Tornado damage is reported from Brevard and Palm Beach counties.
Duval County schools will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday.  More
